Your Impact
As Head of Governance, Risk & Compliance, you are responsible for the integrated management system of our business unit and its affiliated companies. Together with your team, you consolidate and further develop structures covering quality and process management, compliance, risk management, data protection, information security, and emerging regulatory topics such as AI governance.
You lead a team of specialists and translate diverse technical and regulatory requirements into an integrated, effective, and practical governance framework. In this role, you work closely with executive management and various departments, particularly R&D, IT, and Legal.
Your Responsibilities
- Strategically shape and develop governance
You further develop the governance function of our business unit, set priorities, and establish clear structures, responsibilities, and control mechanisms, taking regulatory, industry standards, and business requirements into account. - Manage integrated management systems
You are responsible for the continuous development of our integrated management system, including quality, process, and document management, as well as monitoring relevant standards. Your department supports certifications and audits and continuously improves standards and processes. - Manage risks, compliance, and resilience
You are responsible for the framework covering risk management, compliance, business continuity, and crisis management. Together with your team, you establish methods and standards, create transparency around key risks, and ensure consistent follow-up on actions and responsibilities. - Effectively integrate regulatory requirements
Your department proactively identifies and assesses relevant legal, regulatory, and industry requirements and translates them into appropriate structures, standards, and processes. This includes data protection, information and IT security, as well as the necessary documentation and control mechanisms. - Advance product governance and cybersecurity
In collaboration with product, technology, and development teams, you further develop the governance framework for product compliance, product safety, and product-related cybersecurity, ensuring clear requirements, responsibilities, and interfaces. - Establish AI governance
Together with relevant experts, you design the governance framework for the safe and compliant use of AI and establish appropriate standards, responsibilities, and review mechanisms. - Lead, advise, and connect
You lead and develop your interdisciplinary team, set priorities, and foster collaboration. As a trusted sparring partner, you advise executive management and leaders on governance, risk, and compliance matters and represent your department to internal and external stakeholders.
Your Expertise
- Several years of professional and leadership experience in governance, quality management, compliance, risk management, or a comparable function, ideally within a technology- or product-driven company.
- Solid experience with management systems and a strong understanding of how governance, processes, risks, regulatory requirements, and business operations interact.
- Experience in leading and coordinating specialists from different disciplines and bringing their expertise together to achieve shared objectives.
- Ability to structure and prioritize complex regulatory requirements and industry standards and translate them into practical solutions.
- Strong understanding of roles, responsibilities, processes, and effective control and management mechanisms.
- Confidence in working with executive management, leaders, and both technical and non-technical departments.
- Strategic and entrepreneurial thinking, combined with a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach.
- You don't need to be an expert in every discipline.
