For our main location in Berlin, we are currently looking for a Platform Architect Cloud (m/w/d).

Your Impact

You will shape the future of our cloud platform and ensure seamless collaboration between all services and teams.

  • Responsible for the design and architecture of our central cloud platform with a focus on loose coupling, resilience, reusability, and clear interfaces.
  • Define architectural principles that enable seamless integration of different products without direct dependencies.
  • Advise product management and Product Owners throughout all concept and development phases to align product decisions with the platform vision.
  • Identify security requirements and develop solutions while considering legal and compliance frameworks (e.g., continuous monitoring).
  • Serve as a technical authority and mentor for all development teams: establish and communicate architecture standards, evaluate solution approaches, and coach teams.
  • Coordinate the evolution of cloud services and service orchestration across the Flair product line.
  • Ensure the quality and consistency of cloud architecture across multiple teams.
  • Promote best practices in the cloud-native environment and actively contribute innovative architectural approaches.

Your Expertise

  • Strong communication skills: ability to explain complex architectural topics to different stakeholders (development, PM, PO, management).
  • Several years of experience as a software or solution architect with cloud-native expertise and a strong understanding of microservices (ideally AWS).
  • Solid knowledge of architecture-relevant concepts such as Domain-Driven Design and Event-Driven Architecture.
  • Experience designing services and data persistence strategies in a cloud-native environment.
  • Practical experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform) and container orchestration (Kubernetes) and their impact on platform architecture.
  • Background in modern backend technologies (e.g., Java, Go, Python) to discuss solutions with development teams on equal footing.
  • Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken, for effective communication in an international environment.
